Dollish Polish: Gym Tan Laundry!

Dollish Polish Gym Tan Laundry - two coats with top coat

Today I have Gym Tan Laundry by Dollish Polish for you! I was instantly drawn to this polish by its name, and apparently it is inspired by the popular reality show 'Jersey Shore' (a show that I refuse to watch lol)

According to Dolly's description, Gym Tan Laundry is a light ocean turquoise creme filled with various shades of blue glitters and larger sandy copper glitters. The blue teal microshimmer gives off a gorgeous, sparkly glow that reminds me of the sea when the sun shines on it.

Half expecting that GTL would be sheer, I was pleasantly surprised that it only requires two coats to reach opacity. Dolly has yet again created a very unique polish, and she has quickly become one of my favorite indie makers!

Majolica Majorca GR222 - Teal Jelly!

I have been on a frantic jelly polish search lately, so needless to say I got quite excited when I found out that Majolica Majorca has released a teal jelly for this summer!

Majolica Majorca GR222 - three coats with top coat

Like most Asian polish, this polish is stuck with a boring name GR222. Luckily, it is anything but boring! A teal jelly that is so squishy on nails, it looks almost good enough to eat! I did three coats here and I like how there is no VNL, and yet the jelly look is still retained.

The only complaint I have about GR222 is the price! At almost $5 USD a pop, it comes in a tiny 4.5ml bottle! However if you love this polish as much as I do, you can try your luck on EvilBay since Majolica Majorca is only sold in Asia.

Dollish Polish - Toxic Avenger!

Dollish Polish Toxic Avenger - two coats with top coat
What do you get when you put holo and multichrome together? Total awesomeness in Toxic Avenger! Toxic Avenger by Dollish Polish is a copper green multichrome holo that flashes green, pink, gold and sometimes even purple. It is also a strong linear holo that is an instant win in my book!

Love the smooth finishing, and the formula is perfect. Only minor tipwear occurs after wearing Toxic Avenger for a few days (as seen in swatch photos). Strong holo polish is always highly sought after in the polish world, and we are lucky that Dolly knows how to make a great holo!

Cult Nails Let Me Fly with fluffy cloud accent

Cult Nails Let Me Fly with a fluffy cloud accent

Hello! I will be off to Thailand Koh Samui for a few days this week, so I want to do a beachy mani with a little extra! I have never done an accent nail before, but I am pleasantly surprised by the result, because it really brings out the cute cloud mani finger!

I used Cult Nails Let Me Fly as the main mani polish, a sparkly green and silver shimmer with a teal creme base. I adore both teal and shimmer, so Let Me Fly is right up my alley! Love love love the shimmers that shine through!

The formula is perfect as usual when it comes to Cult Nails, and you can easily get away with one thick coat (I did two coat here for swatch purpose). As for the accent nail, I use Pupa L316 and China Glaze Grape Pop to complete the look.

I hope you like this special mani, and I will see you when I return from Koh Samui!

Hits Ares - a true red holo?

Hits Ares - two coats with no top coat
Does a true red holo exist? Not berry red, pinkish red, or raspberry red, but a true red? I think we might have a winner with Hits Ares! Ares is a red jelly base with strong scattered holo effect that glows on your nails. It definitely is a polish that screams for attention!

Formula is a tiny bit on the gluely side, but the application is still an easy two coater. The only complaint I have is that my brush is fairly wonky and stiff, but I am sure it is just an abberation, as I have not experienced the same problem with other Hits.

I am usually not fond of red polish, but Hit Ares surely has my heart! I wish you a good weekend ahead, my lovely readers!

A possible Tristam dupe? Neno DS15

Neno DS15 - two coats with no top coat
What is it with Asian polish and the lack of names? Surely a name as lame as 'Dark Blue' is still better than none? Unfortunately, this gorgeous Neno polish is stuck with DS15, but that is the only imperfection it has.

DS15 is a royal blue scattered holo, and although the prismatic effect is not very pronounced, it certainly adds depth and a mysterious glow to this lovely polish. DS15 reminds me a lot of A-England Tristam, and I will be doing a comparison in the near future, so watch this space :)

The formula of DS15 is perfect, an easy two coater that dries quickly. I got this polish from an online China website, but sadly it does not ship internationally.

I thought some silver stamping would complement DS15 nicely, so here it is:

BK holo #13

BK holo #13 - two coats with no top coat

BK #13 is a soft muted purple with a very strong linear holo effect. My swatch photos simply do not do this polish justice, because the holo really comes out to play under direct sunlight!

Formula is an easy two coater, no streak or bald spot. Going through my holo stash, BK #13 somehow reminds me of OPI DS Original or DS Amethyst, I may do a comparison post later and find out!
